Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono calls on his residents to anticipate Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), which currently tends to increase.

"The spread of dengue fever is increasing, especially in South Jakarta, currently at around 500 cases," he expressed, Tuesday (3/26).

Through the Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes), they had handled dengue cases which tended to increase by carrying out fogging or fumigation with pesticides aimed at killing mosquitoes, especially the carriers of dengue fever.

"We also urge people to spray, keep their homes clean and not hang up used clothes for too long. Then each family works together with the local government to anticipate dengue fever which tends to increase," he expressed.

He also asked them to consistently apply the 3M procedure: mengubur (bury), menguras (drain), menutup (cover), to eradicate the breeding of dengue fever mosquitoes.

"Parents are urged to look after their children, especially when leaving the house, to wear trousers and long-sleeved clothes and use mosquito repellent lotion," he added.

As for the information, based on data from the Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes), dengue fever cases in Jakarta have increased rapidly in the last month. There were 1,729 dengue fever cases as of March 18, 2024. The number of dengue fever cases has increased by 1,102 people, from the previous 627 cases on February 19, 2024.
