Homecomers Seen at Pulogebang Terminal

The homecoming flow was seen at Pulogebang Integrated Terminal, Cakung, East Jakarta, Monday (4/1). Mostly the homecomers departed to Sumatera.

Pulogebang Terminal Deputy Squad Commander, Badman Harahap, said people have started to go home even though the holiday will start this weekend. They departed to Padang, Medan, Lampung, Palembang and Bengkulu.

Thousands of Regular and Additional Bus Prepared for Homecoming

"Mostly of them are departed to Sumatera. Since the trip is long, they choose to start earlier. It is predicted the homecoming peak will happen on April 6, 7, and 8," he said.

Based on the data, he added, there were 406 homecomers departed by 72 buses since 12 AM to 10 AM. But the number of arrival was higher by 1,131 people with 236 buses.

According to him, the departure for Sumatera is predicted to happen up to Wednesday (4/3). They use buses such as ANS, Pahala, NPM, MPM, SAN, Raflesia and Sambodo. Ticket price for Medan is Rp 700,000 and Palembang Rp 500,000.

Johan (45), one of homecomers to Palembang, admitted he wants to stay longer in his town. That is why he went earlier.

"I want to spend my holiday longer there," he stated.
