Road Diversion Prepared During KAA

The City Police is preparing a traffic engineering to divert traffic flow during the 60th Asia-Africa Summit (KAA). As quoted by City Police's website, the traffic diversion will be applied in Pancoran-Kuningan-Blok M, Dukuh Atas-Monalisa, Harmoni-Hotel Indonesia (HI) Roundabout, and Senayan.
This is situational, yet there is no road closure
These are lists of traffic diversion during KAA in Jakarta, as follow:
KAA, 1,000 Satpol PP Personnel Standby on Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin1) Pancoran-Kuningan-Blok M
- Traffic from Jl MT Haryono towards Jl Gatot Subroto diverted to Pasar Minggu, and vehicles coming from Jl Dr Supomo/Pasar Minggu will be diverted to MT Haryono.
2) Pasar Minggu
- Vehicle coming from Pasar Minggu will be diverted to Jl Duren Tiga. Then traffic from Mampang towards Rasuna Said diverted to Jl Duren Tiga, Mampang Prapatan, or Jl Kapten Tendean towards Jl Wolter Monginsidi.
3) Jl Panglima Polim
- Traffic from Jl Panglima Polim-Jl Sisimangaraja will be diverted to Jl Melawai, Jl Sultan Iskandarsyah, through Jl Tirtayasa. Then for other alternative roads from Jl Kyai Maja or turn right to Jl Tunojoyo towards Jl Wolter Monginsidi.
4) Dukuh Atas-Monalisa
- Traffic from Dukuh Atas-Monalisa will be rerouted to CSW’s light traffic. Then vehicles heading to Jl Sudirman diverted to Jl Trunojoyo (to east) and Kyai Maja. Then in Senayan Roundabout's traffic light diverted to Jl Hang Tuah-Pakubuwono. Jl Pintu 1 turned back to Jl Asia Afrika.
5) Semanggi Atas from Grogol
- Semanggi Atas from Grogol towards Jl Sudirman behind GKBI will be diverted to Cawang. Semanggi from Cawang towards Jl Sudirman diverted to Grogol (west). Then Bendungan Hilir intersection is turned back to Penjernihan. While Meredian intersection from Jl Mas Mansyur-Jl. Sudirman is turned back to Tanah Abang.
6) Danamon Intersection
- From Casablanca behind Sampurna building, vehicles must straight to Tanah Abang Overpass (west). In front of BNI Dukuh Atas on the slow lane will be diverted to Manggarai/Tanah Abang/Pejompongan. Then on the fast lane, diverted to Jl Blora. In Chase Plaza intersection, those heading to Jl Sudirman turned back to Setiabudi area.
7) Harmoni-HI Roundabout
- From Jl Medan Merdeka Utara towards Jl Medan Merdeka Barat or Jl MH Thamrin will be diverted to Oteva traffic light towards Jl Tanah Abang barat or Harmoni. Vehicles coming from Tanah Abang (behind museum) diverted to Harmoni. As for another traffic from Abdul Muis towards HI Roundabout's fountain directed to Harmoni or vice versa.
8) Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan
- Will be diverted to Jl Agus Salim. Traffic from Sabang 2 diverted to Kebon Sirih or Tani Monument. Then traffic from Jl Wahid Hasyim towards Jl MH Thamrin is turned back.
9) Sabang
- Will be diverted to Jl Wahid Hasyim-Tani Monument. Traffic from Kebon Kacang towards HI Roundabout is turned back. After that traffic from Jl Moch Yamin diverted to the left behind Mandarin. Another traffic from Imam Bonjol diverted to left side of Pameksan towards Jl Sumenep.
10) Senayan
- Vehicles from east to west of Jl Gatot Subroto will be diverted to the left side of Jl Sudirman towards Jl Sisimangaraja or Semanggi-Jl Sudirman towards Jl MH Thamrin. Then four-wheeled vehicle will be directed to Senayan.
11) Pemuda Gate
- Vehicles must straight to Sekat 2. Another traffic from Jl Asia Afrika-Pemuda Gate will be directed to Palmerah. Then from Sisimngaraja-Senayan Gate will be directed to Jl Jenderal Sudirman towards Semanggi and so on.
Sub-Directorate Chief of Education and Traffic Engineering, Police Adjunct Commissioner, Marsinem said traffic diversion will be applied on April 22-23, 2015, at 6-9 AM and at night in some roads.
“This is situational, yet there is no road closure,” he told, Sunday (4/19).
Hence, the motorist is asked to obey the police's direction in the field to avoid a severe traffic congestion.
