Joint Personnel Handle Inundation in Cibubur

Joint personnel handled inundation on Jalan Ranitor RT 10/14, Cibubur Urban Village, Ciracas, East Jakarta, Thursday (4/18). The inundation was caused by concrete brick fragment which blocked water channel.

The handling of 30 cm inundation involved personnel of Ciracas Sub-district Water Resource, PPSU Cibubur and East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency. One mobile pump was also deployed to assist the personnel.

Ciracas Sub-district Water Resource Implementer Unit Coordinator, said the inundation has occurred since Friday (4/12). Then it appeared again during heavy rain.

"After being checked, there was concrete brick fragment which blocked water channel," he said.

The concrete brick fragment was not removed since his side waited another box culvert to replace the broken ones.

Cibubur Urban Village Economy and Development Section Head, Heru Kristianto, the inundation area is bordering with Harjamukti, Depok.

"The water usually flows to Jalan Telkom Ujung. But it came back to Cibubur since the water channel was being blocked with concrete brick fragment," he explained.
