80 Janitors Deployed to Anticipate Garbage from Protesters at MK

The Jakarta Environment (LH) Department is ready to anticipate piles of garbage around the Jalan Merdeka Barat - Thamrin to Jalan Sudirman area, Monday (4/22).

Certainly, Jakarta will remain clean and comfortable

Jakarta Environment Agency Head, Asep Kuswanto revealed that personnel and fleets had been alerted to the location after the demonstration regarding the presidential election dispute decision hearing at the Constitutional Court (MK) Building.

"We have routine procedures to handle it. Certainly, Jakarta will remain clean and comfortable," he stressed, Monday (4/22).

He explained janitors would act immediately after the demonstration was over. All the garbage would be cleaned up, even though it lasted until evening.

Central Jakarta Environment Sub-agency Head, Slamet Riyadi uttered ten dump trucks were on standby already. They consisted of three inorganic waste trucks and four road sweepers, as well as two mini dump trucks and one panther cross.

"In total, there are 80 janitors. We can sent more if the situation is emergency," he said.
