Water Channel Construction at Gg Saalih Completed

The water channel construction located at Gg Saalih, Jalan Pasir II, RT 03/06, Ciganjur Urban Village, Jagakarsa Sub-district, South Jakarta, completed.

Jagakarsa Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit Head, Sartono said the channel construction was realized to follow up on residents' complaints that puddles often occur when it rains.

"This area is actually lowland. Hence, we responded quickly to residents' aspirations by making a new channel as long as 309 meters," he expressed, Tuesday (4/23).

He explained it was done using the U-ditch measuring 40x40 centimeters and 60x60 centimeters.

"It involves eight personnel of PPSU with supporting tools, including a heavy equipment to install the U-ditch," he explained.

It has been ongoing since February 2024 and is targeted for completion on Monday (4/22).

"Hopefully, there will be no more flooding. We urge residents to work together to care for and keep the channels clean," he hoped.

The work received appreciation from one of the residents from RT 03/06, Ciganjur Urban Village, Aryandi (47).

"Thank you. Hope everything meets our expectations," he stated.
