The development of the embung (artificial lake) and Rawa Malang Reservoir in Semper Timur Urban Village, Cilincing, North Jakarta continues to be accelerated. Thus far, the work progress has touched 75 percent.
It is targeted for completion in July 2024
The reservoir is located between the Cibitung - Cilincing Toll Road, precisely on Jalan Cakung Drainase, Kampung Sawah, RT 10/RW 01.
Jakarta Water Resources Agency (SDA)'s Flood Control Sub-Group Chair, Ericson Indra Pulungan stated the embung and reservoir that have a width of 4.5 hectares was capable of accommodating around 80 million liters of water.

He explained it is expected to reduce the load on the Gendong Cakung River Drain and the Bulak Cabe Pump.
The reservoir will be used as a retention pond equipped with embankment piles, inspection roads, sluice gates, and two pumps with 2.5 cubic meters per second capacity.
"It is targeted for completion in July 2024," he said.
