1,510 Students Participate South Jakarta Popkot

As many as 1,510 students participate City Student Sport Week (Popkot) held by South Jakarta Youth and Sport Sub-agency.

South Jakarta Youth and Sport Sub-agency's Sport Section Head, Uha Suhari, said this event become a place for student sports development as well as friendship.

"Through this student sports competition, we attract talented athletes to be developed further in preparation for activities at a higher level," he said, Wednesday (4/24).

Uha added the sports competed in Popkot include volleyball, football and takraw. The event participated by primary, junior, and high school students is held from April 24 to May 8, 2024.

"Best athletes will represent South Jakarta in province level (Popprov). Athletes who can take part in Popprov are the result of talent scouting at Popkot which will be trained for two months. We take tiered coaching seriously," he stated.

Meanwhile, one of volley ball athletes from SMAN 109, Kenan (16), optimistic to win the match.

"We're ready to lift the trophy," she said.
