Nakertransgi Agency Holds the Peak of International Workers' Commemoration

The Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency (Nakertransgi) through the Tripartite Cooperation Institute (LKS) at the provincial level held the International Labor Day 2024 (May Day) Commemoration Peak at the East Jakarta Regional Job Training Center (PPKD), Tuesday (5/21).

In line with the theme of the Ministry of Manpower

It was attended by representatives of the Federation of Trade Unions/Labor Unions in Jakarta, Director General of PHI and Social Security for the Ministry of Manpower, Head of Jakarta Economic and Financial Bureau, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, BPJS Kesehatan, BUMD, and other private companies that support the running of the series of May Day activities.

With the theme Working Together to Create Competent Workers/Labourers with the tagline 'May Day is "Terampil" Day', the Jakarta Nakertransgi Agency holds a series of positive activities that provide benefits, especially for workers/laborers and their families.

Nakertransgi: May Day Gives Enthusiasm to Face Global Competition for Employment

At the peak of the event, the Nakertransgi Agency would hand over trophies and certificates to the winners of the Industrial Relations Quiz Contest, grocery packages, and awards to stakeholders who support the running of May Day 2024 activities, as well as the drawing and handing out of Door Prizes to invitees.

Jakarta Nakertransgi Agency Head, Hari Nugroho explained that seeing the dynamic development of industrial relations, the commemoration of May Day was no longer always attached and synonymous with openly conveying aspirations to demand the rights and obligations of each party.

He assessed that International Workers' Day is a momentum for all elements of industrial relations to work together in creating a safe, conducive, and sustainable work and business situation.

"The synergy formed is then realized in a series of positive events and activities and in line with the theme of the Ministry of Manpower, namely Working Together to Create Competent Workers/Labourers," he explained.

He went on to say that the peak of the Internatioanl Workers' Day commemoration is a form of a sense of togetherness and concern for workers/laborers as well as a form of implementation of social responsibility on the part of employers and the government to create harmonious, dynamic and fair industrial relations guided by the implementation of industrial relations based on the values of Pancasila.

"Hopefully, it will foster a deep sense of togetherness for all parties as well as being a means of establishing a friendship, thus other positive activities can continue to be carried out which have an impact on increasing the productivity climate in the company which ultimately also has an impact on improving the welfare of workers/laborers, thus they can be in line also with preparations for Jakarta to become a Global City," he hoped.
