Street Vendor Relocated to Tjetot and Panca Niaga Buildings

The kiosk's size is compliance with the existing kiosks, which is at least 3x3 square meters

Around 415 street vendors incorporated the Kota Tua Traders Cooperative (Kopetaf) in Taman Sari, West Jakarta, will be relocated to Panca Niaga Building belongs to PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (PPI) and Tjetot building.

Prior to relocation, both buildings will be revitalized first by the consortium because its condition is very worrying.

Head of West Jakarta Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and Trade (KUKMP) Sub-Department, Slamet Widodo explained while waiting for revitalization process, the street vendors are temporarily accommodated on Jalan Virgin and Jalan Kali Besar. They allowed to trade at 4-11 PM. 

“The kiosk's size is compliance with the existing kiosks, which is at least 3x3 square meters,” he said, Wednesday (4/22).

Widodo expressed later on, the Panca Niaga building will be built two clusters. The second and fourth clusters are designated to food and culinary traders. While for Tjetot Building, will have one and three clusters. These clusters are for handicrafts, garment, and accessories traders.
