A gas leakage reportedly caused the fire that hit four kiosks at the temporary location (Loksem) JT 23, Jalan Pegambiran, RT 03/03, Rawamangun, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, Monday (5/27).
No casualties in the incident
East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency (Gulkarmat)'s Operation Section Head, Gatot Sulaeman said the fire occurred when the stall owner was cooking and suddenly explosion came out from the gas stove.
"The fire grew and grabbed objects around him. No casualties in the incident," he expressed.
Nine Firetrucks Extinguish Fire in Sumur BatuTo put out the flames, his party deployed ten fire trucks and 50 firefighters to the scene.
"Within 45 minutes, we have managed to put out the fire at around 11.15 AM" he explained.
Rawamangun Urban Village Head, Heri Kurniawan added the kiosks that burned included food stalls, fruit stalls, credit counters, and hair barbers.
"The location that burned is JT 23, under the supervision of the East Jakarta PPKUKM Sub-agency," he closed.
