No Casualties in Two Fire Incidents in Cipayung

No fatalities or injuries in the fire incident at two locations in Cipayung Sib-district, East Jakarta, last Sunday (6/2) night and Monday (6/3) morning.

In 25 minutes, we managed to control the situation

East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency's Operation Section Head, Gatot Sulaeman said the fire hit a motorcycle workshop on Jalan Swadaya, Pondok Ranggon, Cipayung, at around 7.51 PM.

It was allegedly caused with sparks hitting the gasoline in the bottle.

"At the time of the incident, the repair shop owner was patching tires," he expressed, Monday (6/3).

To put out the flames, as many as 20 personnel and four fire engines immediately deployed to the scene.

"In 25 minutes, we managed to control the situation," he explained.

Then the second fire hit a house on Jalan Gorda, RT 04/07 Lubang Buaya, Cipayung on Monday (3/6), around 4.21 AM.

"Residents saw smoke coming from the house where the owner was leaving, so they took the initiative to call firefighters," he explained.

To put out the fire, four fire engines and 20 personnel were deployed to the scene. They successfully extinguished it around 5.18 AM or within 50 minutes.

Pondok Ranggon Urban Village Head, Jenuri added ten personnel of PPSU were also involved to control the fire. Even if the police line has been removed, his party will help clean up the debris left by the fire.

"Because this is a form of service to the community. So, every time there is a fire or other disaster, we will respond quickly to provide support," he asserted.
