Fire in Rawamangun Extinguished in 25 Minutes

East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency personnel, Wednesday (5/29), extinguished fire burned a house on Jalan Rawamangun Muka, Rawamangun Urban Village, Pulogadung.

We deployed seven firetrucks with 35 personnel

East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency's Section of Operation Head, Gatot Sulaeman, said his side received fire report at 11:50 AM and personnel extinguished it at 12:15 PM.

"We deployed seven firetrucks with 35 personnel. Luckily the fire was extinguished in 25 minutes," he said.

Based on information gathered, the fire started when changing a gas cylinder for cooking in the kitchen. Suddenly, gas came out and caught the fire in the stove which then grew and caught objects around it.

"It is currently suspected that the fire occurred due to a leak in the LPG gas cylinder," he added.

Rawamangun Urban Village Head, Heri Kurniawan, a restaurant owner suffered minor injuries to his right arm and was immediately treated by the medical team at the scene.

"We also deployed three PPSU personnel to assist the early handling of the fire," he stated.
