Budi Mulia Connecting Channel Dredging Reaches 70 Percent

The dredging of connecting channel on Jalan Budi Mulia RW 07, Pademangan Barat, Pademangan, North Jakarta has reached 70 percent.

We deploy 10 personnel with manual equipment

Pademangan Sub-district's Water Resource Implementer Unit Head, Dewi Marlina, said the dredging aims to add the channel volume. So it will prevent inundation during rainy season.

"Since we're entering dry season, we optimize channel dredging," he said, Monday (6/3).

Dewi added the dredging starts from RT 09 Post up to in front of Jalan Budi Mulia Utara III. The dredging is run along 130 meter with 3 meter of depth and 2.1 meter of width.

"We deploy 10 personnel with manual equipment," he added.

According to him, the dredging which was started on May 17 is targeted to complete by mid of June. About 10 meter cubic of mud has been transported to Ancol PLTU.

"The progress has reached 70 percent," he continued.

Meanwhile, Pademangan Barat Urban Village, Sugiharjo Timbo thanked the North Jakarta Water Resource Sub-agency for quickly responding.

"Hopefully after being dredged the channel will flow the water smoothly and prevent inundation," he stated.
