Pancoran Urban Village Population and Civil Registration Implementer Unit Head, Gandi Sitinjak, said this socialization was held so that the public understands that NIK deactivation is carried out to organize population administration, especially in the South Jakarta area.

"This NIK arrangement can also present good and correct provincial scale data, as well as update data accurately and accountably," he said, Wednesday (6/5).

Gandi explained that these data could become a reference in all aspects to help implement the government's development program in welcoming Jakarta as a Global City.

"We hope that the community will feel the positive impact, one of the example is in receiving social assistance from the government which will definitely be right on target," he added.

Meanwhile, one of residents, Dianawati (47), admitted this socialization really helped because it provided knowledge regarding the arrangement and control of NIK.

"I am very grateful. We can spread information to the public, so that there is no confusion regarding NIK arrangement or registration details," she admitted.
