Next Week, Sheet Pile Repairs on Jalan Petojo Enclek XIV Completed

Repairs to the damaged and collapsed sheet piles located on Jaan Petojo Enclek XIV, RW 07 Petojo Selatan Urban Village, Gambir which has been ongoing since Tuesday (6/4) are targeted for completion on Friday (6/14).

The work progress has touched 30 percent and is targeted to be completed on June 14

Gambir Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit Head, M Imawan stated the repairs were carried out because part of the water channel sheet pile on the southern part of the road was damaged and collapsed at several points.

"We also installed the channel with a plate manhole," he said, Friday (6/7).

From around 300 meters, he explained, the total length of the repair channel is 40 meters. While the section of the channel that is fitted with a concrete plate is around 400 centimeters long.

As for the work of repairing the sheet pile on the channel, which is 25 centimeters wide and 40 centimeters high, every day his party deploys 10 task force personnel to the location.

"The work progress has touched 30 percent and is targeted to be completed on June 14," he asserted.

Petojo Selatan Economy and Development Section Head, Dimpu Simanulang added his party is now also carrying out arrangements in the Jalan Petojo Enclek XIV area.

His party also beautified the walls along the road with murals and greenery. He targets that all the arrangement work will be completed by the end of June 2024.

"We'll arrange this area to make it nicer and more aesthetic. Our walls will be murals and there will be no more illegal parking at this location," he stated.
