Broken Dike Repair in Cibubur to Complete Next Week

Seribu Island Water Resource Sub-agency Coordinator, Ahmad Sofyan, said the dike casting work, which aims to prevent sea waves from entering residential areas, is a follow-up to the residents' proposal through Musrenbang.

"The installation and casting of this 95 meter long dike has been underway since April 2024 and was completed yesterday," he said, Tuesday (6/11).

Sofyan explained that the process of casting the massive cube dike, which involved 12 personnel, was carried out manually using cement, sand and split stone as raw materials.

"The work went smoothly, only when the tide was high the work was postponed. Hopefully this embankment will be useful for residents, later we will paint it so it looks beautiful and clean," he added.

Meanwhile, Tidung Island Urban Village Secretary, Sahrudin, admitted the construction of this embankment is very important, especially to protect against high sea waves.

"I appreciate the performance of the personnel. The embankment has become stronger, hopefully residential areas will no longer be inundated," he hoped.
