1,107 Students Participated Central Jakarta PMI's Jumbara PMR IAC XI

As many as 1,107 students of elementary school up to senior high school in Central Jakarta participated the Jumpa Bakti Gembira (Jumbara) Palang Merah Remaja (PMR) Inter Amar Carita (IAC) XI at Bumi Perkemahan Cibubur, Monday (5/26) up to Wednesday (6/27).

Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma, emphasized that as the embryo of future leaders, the potential of young people needs to be honed and developed continuously. One of them is through Jumbara IAC.

"We have the responsibility to develop their potential in all fields," he said.

Dhany hopes that this Jumbara activity can hone the potential of PMR members, starting from the humanitarian side and red cross capabilities. So that later their potential will grow and have an impact on society at large scale.

Central Jakarta PMI's IAC XI Committee Chief, Ucu Jamilah, explained the 1,107 participants who took part in this activity are PMR members from 89 elementary to high school schools, with details of 37 schools in Education Region I and 52 schools from Education Region II, Central Jakarta.

Ucu hopes that Jumbara activities can produce young PMI volunteers who have character and can become a potential young generation in terms of knowledge, skills and faith.

"Apart from that, it is hoped that the activity will strengthen the ties between fellow PMR members," Ucu hoped.

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta PMI Head, Asep Djuanda, stated participants in this activity are PMR members at entry, intermediate and advance levels.

"The activity is run from June 24-26, 2024," he stated.
