North Seribu Islands Satpol PP Intensifies Monitoring of Expired Food Products

The North Seribu Islands Sub-district Satpol PP supervises expired food products containing dangerous substances at nine shops on Pramuka Island, Panggang Island Urban Village, Wednesday (6/26).

We checked all food and beverage products in nine stores

North Seribu Islands Satpol PP Head, Edi Syahrudi said this routine action was aimed to ensure the safety and comfort of residents in consuming food products.

"Today, we checked all food and beverage products in nine stores," he said.

Those nine stalls and stores were in RT 01, 02, and 03/RW 04, as well as in RT 02, 03, and 04/RW 05. As a result, no expired food and beverage products were found containing dangerous substances.

"We send 30 personnel to the location," he expressed.

North Seribu Islands Sub-district Government Section Head, Jamaludin positively welcomed this action because it can protect and provide a sense of security to the public from food or drink that does not meet health requirements.

"Hopefully, this is a protective step for consumers, so that they are not harmed," he hoped.

One of the store owners in RT 02/05, Habibi (55), admitted that he always checks the expiration date so that it will be returned to the distributor.

"Insya Allah (God willing), we always prioritize consumer safety, and comfort. Moreover, many children buy snacks," he concluded.
