Food Supervision Keeps Being Intensified During Ramadan

The officers managed to collect nine food samples such as crackers, tempeh, meatballs, squid, brains, sweets and tofu, as well as examined 16 types of goods about its distribution permit, expiration date, and packaging condition.

Due to high demand, Jakarta KUKMP Agency Head, Adi Ariantara said, it would be an intense raid during Ramadan.

"Besides protecting the consumer, it also aims to tell the public that the goods circulating in Jakarta are all overseen by the government," he stressed, Tuesday (5/7).

Surely consumer rights should be protected as consumption of food and beverages have an impact on health.

"This is our duty to foster entrepreneurs to run business better and obey the rules," he stated.
