37 Unmarried Couples in Tambora Netted

As many as 37 unmarried couples were netted during a joint raid in dorms and hotels or known as melati class in Tambora, West Jakarta. Those then brought to Tambora Metro Sector Police for coaching. 

Those unmarried couples are netted because they cannot show the official marriage certificate

"Those unmarried couples are netted because they cannot show the official marriage certificate. They then recorded and given a warning letter as deterrent effect," said Tambora Sub-District Head, Mursidin, Monday (4/27). 

Mursidin stated, the raid which involved joint personnel of Satpol PP, Army, and National Police was held on Saturday (4/25) at 9 PM until Sunday (4/26) at 2 AM. As for the raid location is focused on dorms to melati class hotel in Angke, Jembatan Lima, and Roa Malaka Urban Villages. 

8 Couples Netted During Dorm Raid

According to him, the most netted couples are above 18 years old. The raid is expected could make deterrent effect for the others. 

Besides minimizing similar case in future, he continued, the raid also purposed to supervise drug trafficking, ISIS-ism and other negative activities.
