12 Unroadworthy Vehicles in Kemayoran Netted

Some 12 trucks of light, pick-up, and container failed to pass the roadworthy tests conducted by the Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency, and army/police on Jalan Yos Sudarso, Sumur Batu Urban Village, Kemayoran, Friday (7/12).

Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Head, Wildan Anwar said the roadworthy test is a routine agenda conducted by the army/police to minimize the incidence of traffic accidents.

"This aims to prevent unroadworthy vehicles from roaming on the highway and to minimize the incidence of traffic accidents," he expressed.

Officers also checked vehicle documents and road documents.

Road Traffic and Transportation Operational Control Section Head, Haryo Bagus added the checks conducted were checking the condition of the tires, lights, and additions to the vehicle frame which were not following the intended use, as well as transport loads.

"We made a dossier for 12 vehicles and five vehicles' operations have to be stopped," he uttered.
