City Secretary, Joko Agus Setyono, closed the annual Jakarta Fair Kemayoran (JFK) 2024 event which is part of the celebration of Jakarta's 497th anniversary, at JIExpo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Sunday (7/14).

This figure has increased from last year with transactions amounting to Rp 7.3 trillion

He appreciated the total transaction value that occurred during the 33 days of the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran at Rp 7.5 trillion with a total number of visitors reaching 6.3 million.

"Jakarta Fair Kemayoran has reached the end of the series of events. I'm also happy with the enthusiasm of the community, thus this event succeeded in achieving transactions of more than Rp 7.5 trillion. This figure has increased from last year with transactions amounting to Rp 7.3 trillion," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta Provincial Government's press release, Monday (7/15).

"Congrats to the entire JIExpo team for successfully holding the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran from 12 June to 14 July 2024. This event not only enlivens the city's anniversary, but also spurs Indonesian economic activity, and encourages equitable growth in all industrial sectors. Hopefully, in the following years, it will keep being an interesting event, always looked forward to, and a place to show the million charms of the city of Jakarta," he explained.

As the center of economic, business, and government activity, the City of Jakarta has an important role by contributing 17 percent to the national economy. Jakarta continues to grow strongly with stable economic growth and controlled inflation amidst global economic dynamics.

"Under Law no. 2/2024 on the Special Region of Jakarta (DKJ), Jakarta is now transforming into the center of the national economy and a global city. For almost 500 years, Jakarta has gone through various changes. The synergy between government, business entities, and other elements of society makes Jakarta continue to develop into a progressive megapolitan city," he continued.

Hence, Jakarta's future development would be directed towards becoming a competitive global city with its uniqueness and cultural diversity, as well as remaining a center for various important movements and a comfortable home for Jakartans.

PT JIExpo General Manager, Oki Setiawan expressed his gratitude and expressed his highest appreciation for the attention and support given by the Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, and his staff. During the event, there were about 2,550 tenants and 1,550 stands, where they managed to recruit tens of thousands of workers, with a total transaction value reaching more than Rp 7.5 trillion.

"Our target is not about transaction value, but also improving quality for the comfort of participants and visitors to the Jakarta Fair in the future," he uttered.
