As many as 35 residents participated fire handling training held by East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency, Monday (7/15) at RT 03/05 Ciracas Urban Village.

Ciracas Urban Village Fire Handling and Rescue Taskforce Head, Ahmad Gozali, said the training was participated by 25 residents and others from Babinsa, Bimaspol, FKDM, Satpol PP, Transportation Taskforce, and local urban village.

Gozali added that the participants were given material about extinguishing fires in densely populated residential areas and rescue, as well as the use of light fire extinguishers.

During the training, his side deployed 11 firetrucks with 40 personnel as fire extinguishing simulation at residential.

"We'll continue the training with forming fire volunteer (Redkar) of urban village level," he added.

Ciracas Urban Village Secretary, Vera Riana Sari, hopes fire volunteers (Redkar) can carry out their duties as well as possible and respond quickly if there is an incident in the area.

"Hopefully this training can provide benefits to residents and urban village officials," she hoped.

Meanwhile, RW 05 Head Ciracas, Buhari Nur Khairudin, admitted this training was firstly held in the area. The residents were enthusiasts to participate the training.

"The training was like a real fire incident," he admitted.
