Sweet Corn Harvest in Kembangan Reaches 1.5 Quintals

West Jakarta Administration together with Tata Kawas farm group on Jalan Kompas, RT 07/01, Kembangan Utara Urban Village, Kembangan Sub-district, were successfully harvesting 1.5 quintals of sweet corn, Thursday (7/18).

We share the harvest with local residents

West Jakarta Administration City Secretary, said the harvest was held as food security in West Jakarta, and generally in Jakarta.

"Not only 1.5 quintals of sweet corn, we also harvested 3.5 kilogram chili," Indra said.

Indra hopes that this harvest activity will continue not only for corn and chili commodities but also other types of vegetables and fruit.

"West Jakarta has been assisting with food security programs in Jakarta. Because previously, other farming communities also harvested chilies in Joglo, then in Tamanan Semanan Indah Kalideres and others," he added.

Kembangan Utara Urban Village Head, Rudi Hariyanto, stated the sweet corn harvest was the result of 80 days of planting by the Tata Kawas Poktan which is under the supervision of the West Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency on a land of ​​350 square meters.

"We share the harvest with local residents," he stated.
