Satpol PP Deploys 260 Personnel to Anticipate Brawls in East Jakarta

The East Jakarta Satpol PP has deployed 260 personnel from ten sub-districts in a bid to anticipate brawls and other criminal acts.

It must be held every day and on the weekend

East Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Budhy Novian stated the 260 personnel of Satpol PP are on standby every day from 4 PM to 4 PM on the next day. They join with the police.

"They are also assisted by members who come to work every day," he expressed, Friday (7/19).

He urged residents to intensify community patrols (siskamling) in each area. It was because the security issues were not only the responsibility of the police, Satpol PP, and army.

"It must be held every day and on the weekend considering the situation is prone to brawls," he explained.

He added the RT/RW administrators had to keep their children from wandering around at night. Maximum at 10 PM, make sure children are at home.

"If there is a potential crowd, immediately report it to emergency number 112 or the local police station," he stated.
