East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar has issued firm steps to deal with brawls involving students and community groups in his area.
For brawlers, KJP and Social Assistance will be revoked and their KTPs will be blacklisted
He threatened to revoke the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) and social assistance for brawlers who were caught. This assertion was conveyed by him when opening the People's Sports Festival (FOR) at Rawa Binong RPTRA, Lubang Buaya yesterday
According to him, this step was taken because cases of brawls involving students and the public rose again in several locations. He was very concerned about this incident, especially two days ago, moreover, a member of the Duren Sawit Police was the victim of a stabbing while breaking up a brawl on Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai Klender.
Security Post in Batu Ampar Set Up to Prevent Brawls"For brawlers, KJP and Social Assistance will be revoked and their KTPs will be blacklisted. This will have a deterrent effect," he asserted.
According to him, police had taken action against the perpetrator of the brawl in Klender because the perpetrator was carrying a sharp weapon and slashed at the police.
He also asked FKDM members to intensify their early prevention efforts. If they find information, immediately tell it to Babinsa or Bimaspol, as well as urban village and sub-district apparatuses in order to prevent brawls.
"Besides causing casualties, this brawl also seriously disturbs the security and comfort of residents. Therefore, it must be prevented as early as possible," he explained.
He added the RT/RW and FKDM administrators' role must be increased in protecting their respective areas, especially early detection by FKDM.
"If a brawl breaks out, then that means FKDM's early detection system is weak," he said.
