Channel Construction on Jalan Jamboree Cibubur Starts Next Week

The water channel construction using a jacking system on Jalan Jamboree, Cibubur Urban Village, Ciracas, East Jakarta, is slated to begin work on Tuesday (7/30) next week.

Work will start next Tuesday

Channel Development Executer, Marwan Panjaitan explained that before starting work, personnel installed traffic signs, safety signs, and banners in eight strategic locations to tell the public, especially motorists who would be passing along Jalan Jamboree.

"Work will start next Tuesday," he expressed, Saturday (7/27).

According to him, it would be done every day from 8 AM to 8 PM because the work was done using a jacking system so it would not disturb traffic too much.

To anticipate it, the road will be widened at the four excavation points to provide space for vehicles to pass.

"Those points will be layered with scrabe or used asphalt," he expressed.

Cibubur Urban Village Acting Head, Roni Abdullah added it would be done after his party, together with the related regional government organizations (OPD), held socialization to the community, especially residents affected by this channel construction project.

"As a result of socialization, all the people are supportive because they have been waiting for the construction of the water channel in Jalan Jamboree. Because every time it rains heavily, it is always flooded as high as 50 - 80 centimeters," he explained.

During the work, he urged locals, especially the motorists, to find alternative lanes to avoid traffic jams.

"They should avoid Jalan Raya Jamboree and look for alternative routes to avoid traffic jams," he stated,
