Bank DKI Wins Finance and Investment Sector Award

Bank DKI again received an award for implementing the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program carried out by the Company.

The aim of strengthening local communities and improving the welfare of people's quality of life

This time, they won a Special Award for the Financial and Investment Sector at the IDX Channel Anugrah ESG 2024 event initiated by IDX Channel media. The award was given to Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi representing Bank DKI Director, Agus H Widodo.

It was specifically won for the consistent implementation of the CSR program of Bank DKI, Jakarta Hydroponic Cooperative (JAKONIK) as a superior program in implementing the goals of Sustainable Development (SDGs), namely, ending poverty in all forms everywhere, creating conditions without hunger, and increasing sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems.

Bank DKI President Director, Agus H Widodo said that besides being a business entity, Bank DKI also plays a role as a facilitator of economic growth and equality for the community in Jakarta.

"The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program implemented at Bank DKI also focuses on the aim of strengthening local communities and improving the welfare of people's quality of life," he expressed, Monday (7/29).

Bank DKI Secretary, Arie Rinaldi added that as one of Bank DKI's flagship CSR programs, JAKONIK is expected to have a big positive impact on the surrounding community, improve their quality of life, and drive the local economy.

"Jakonik's success has been proven effective in reducing social disparities and overall improving the quality of life of society," he added.

As for the information, Jakarta Hydroponic Cooperative (JAKONIK) is Bank DKI's flagship CSR program which has been implemented since 2014. JAKONIK involves active community participation in developing hydroponic gardens based on community empowerment.

It already has 11 member groups in the flat areas in Jakarta, namely, Jatinegara Kaum, KS Tubun, Jati Rawasari, Daan Mogot, Cipinang Besar Selatan, Pondok Bambu, Tipar Cakung, Tamborawa Tower, Pulo Gebang, Pasar Rebo, and most recently in the Cibubur Berseri RPTRA.

They have received training and guidance to increase crop yields and manage hydroponic businesses comprehensively from upstream to downstream, such as hydroponic marketing centers, business assistants, education providers, and facilitators for needs such as fertilizer, seeds, and equipment.

The IDX Channel Anugerah ESG 2024 is an appreciation event for companies and top executives who are dedicated to implementing sustainable business in Indonesia. Several indicators used as assessment criteria include aspects of ESG Performance, Strategy & Policy, ESG Reporting, Leadership Commitment, and Stakeholder Participation.

Adapun IDX Channel Anugerah ESG 2024 merupakan ajang apresiasi bagi perusahaan-perusahaan dan eksekutif puncak yang berdedikasi dalam implementasi bisnis berkelanjutan di Indonesia. Beberapa indikator yang dijadikan kriteria penilaian di antaranya, aspek ESG Performance, Strategy & Policy, ESG Reporting, Leadership Commitment, dan Stakeholder Participation.
