Pademangan Sub-district Implementer Unit Head, Dewi Marlina, said the dredging is continuation of previous work in front of Ancol Urban Village office.

Dewi admitted the dredging is based on resident's request through RT/RW administrators since the mud thickness reaches 40 cm.
"We deploy seven personnel to dredge the channel," she added.
According to her, the dredging has been running since July 29 and is targeted to complete in two weeks. Now the progress has reached 75 percent.
"Hopefully the channel dredging will prevent inundation in rainy season," she continued.
Meanwhile, one of RW 01 residents, Ancol Urban Village, Indra Gunawan (58) delivered his grateful about the channel dredging.
"It is hoped the newly dredged channel will flow the water smoothly and other residents will also maintain the channel cleanliness," he stated.
