August, Crossing Channel Development in Gading Kirana Completed

The Kelapa Gading Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency Executing Unit, North Jakarta is developing a crossing channel on Jalan Gading Kirana Timur IX, precisely in front of the shophouses Block B to A, RW 08, Kelapa Gading Barat Urban Village. It is targeted for completion by the end of August 2024.
Hopefully, it can prevent flooding in RW 08 when it rains
Kelapa Gading Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Citrin Indrawati stated the crossing channel development is a follow-up of the local RT/RW administrators' proposal because there was previously only a small channel in front of the shophouse that connects into the complex.
"The water flows directly into the Kirana Complex channel. Thus, when it rains, the complex area is prone to flooding," she expressed, Monday (7/29).
Crossing Channel at Pademangan V DredgedShe explained the crossing channel itself would have a length of 212 meters with a width and a depth of 120 centimeters where the work involved 11 personnel.
"We also send an excavator unit to speed up it. It has been ongoing since July 24," she explained.
She added the channel would flow into the Artha Gading Connecting Channel.
"Hopefully, it can prevent flooding in RW 08 when it rains," she hoped.
The work received appreciation from one of the residents and served as a security officer in the Gading Kirana Housing Complex, Heri (47).
"I believe the water will flow smoothly and no more flooding," she stated.
