Channel on Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara Dredged

The Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA), dredged a water channel on Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, RT 05/02, Gambir ahead of Independence Day's 79th anniversary.

In total, we have managed to collect six cubic meters of mud

Central Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head, Mustajab said the dredging is conducted to maximize the function of the channel in accommodating rainwater.

"We send 20 personnel to dredge the mud and trash in the channel," he said, Monday (8/5).

Water Channel on Jalan Ancol Barat III Dredged

Gambir Sub-district Executing Unit Head, M Imawan explained the dredging was taken to 300 meters.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), the channel is not fully strewn with mud and the work process only takes one day," he explained.

He added the channel has 1.2 meters wide with two meters high. The work has been ongoing since Sunday (8/4) morning to afternoon.

"In total, we have managed to collect six cubic meters of mud," he stated.
