Residential Area on Jalan Menteng Tenggulun will Be Revitalized

The Central Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Areas Sub-agency (PRKP) plans to revitalize residential areas on Jalan Menteng Tenggulun, RW 10 Menteng. It is conducted as part of the Central Jakarta Mayor's Regional Strategic Activities (KSD).

It aims to arrange and beautify residential areas

Central Jakarta PRKP Sub-agency Head, Dedi Arief Darsono expressed the revitalization of the Jalan Menteng Tenggulun area would begin in August 2024 along a length of 200 meters.

"It aims to arrange and beautify residential areas," he said, Tuesday (8/6).

He explained the revitalization that would be conducted were repairing roads, creating parks, building a community hall, and gate and repairing two toilets. Aside that, work was also being done to improve Street Lighting (PJU), build a jogging track, make murals and vertical gardens.

To smoothen it, his party would collaborate with the Gulkarmat Sub-agency to build independent hydrants, then the SDA Sub-agency to repair channels, the Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency to strengthen productive plants and toga. Then the Environment Sub-agency was for improving waste management and the Central Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency for paving and greening the area.

This revitalization is part of the Utility Facilities Infrastructure Improvement (P2SU) program previously called CIP in 2024. It has gone through the process of Utility Facilities Infrastructure Provision Planning (P3S) or previously called the CAP program.

"If the process has no problems and runs smoothly, we hope it will be completed in November 2024," he asserted.

Menteng Urban Village Secretary, Yuldawati added prior to the revitalization began, his party together with the Menteng Sub-district had conducted control in the area. In total, there were 30 illegal buildings controlled at the location.

"Not only illegal buildings, we have also controlled empty land used for illegal parking to support area planning," he stated.
