Adipura Monument on Pramuka Island Being Built

The construction process of the Adipura Monument at the Seribu Islands Regency Plaza, Pramuka Island, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands has reached 20 percent.

North Seribu Islands Sub-district Head, Angga Saputra hoped that the Adipura Monument could become a reminder and encouragement to maintain this prestigious award.
"Last year, the Seribu Islands Regency succeeded in winning an award in the environmental sector, after 32 years of the district's existence," he expressed, Thursday (8/8).

"Adipura is the highest award in the environmental sector given by the central government through the Ministry of Environment and Forestry to regions that are successful in maintaining cleanliness and managing the environment well," he explained.
According to him, this monument was built on Pramuka Island which is the center of government in Seribu Islands. It is not only a symbol, but can be a trigger for the island community's enthusiasm to keep maintaining cleanliness and environmental sustainability.
"It could also become a new tourist icon in Seribu Islands," he added.
Seribu Islands Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA) Head, Hendri added the Adipura Monument construction involved 11 personnel from Panggang Island.
"It has been started since July 22 and is targeted to be completed by the end of the upcoming August," he added.
He added he had completed the foundation of the monument with reinforced cast concrete measuring 2x2 meters. Meanwhile, the monument would be built measuring 4x4 meters.
"We're still waiting for the material to be sent back for the construction of the monument. Hopefully, the construction will run smoothly and the results will be satisfactory," he stated.
