HIPPINDO Chairman, Budihardjo Iduansjah stated HBD Indonesia 2024 is the peak of the national discount celebration, namely on August 17, 2024. This year's theme is inspired by traditional South Kalimantan literature, namely, Sasirangan Motif Bayam Raja, which symbolizes the respect and dignity of ancestors.
He disclosed that HIPPINDO also opened opportunities for all parties to use the HBD Indonesia logo in their various promotional activities.

He explained it would discuss various challenges and opportunities in an increasingly dynamic retail industry, along with changes in increasingly complex consumer behavior.
"Hopefully, this is an important platform for retail actors and their ecosystem to share insights and strategies in facing a competitive future," he hoped.
Economy and Finance Assistant, Sri Haryati expressed her support at the Indonesia Retail Summit. The Jakarta Provincial Government has a mission to encourage the holding of international-level events to realize Jakarta's vision of becoming a competitive Global City.
According to her, Jakarta as the economic center of Indonesia would remain a development priority and would continue to be developed into a business city, financial city, trade center, and service center on a regional and global scale.
She added it was in line with one of the Jakarta Government's missions to create a competitive Global City Jakarta by keeping up with changing developments in national and international needs.
"This is in line with retail developments which are very dynamic following changes in consumer behavior and have increasingly higher demands from time to time," she stated.
