Jakarta Human Resource Development Board (BPSDM) held Leader Forum Srikandi Jakarta seminary themed 'Women Empowerment: From Home to Boardroom' at Tavia Heritage Hotel, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta, Thursday (8/22).

The event was attended by 40 woman apparatuses in Jakarta Provincial Government of Echelon 2 and 3 on Board, Agency, Mayor, and Bureau.

The speakers who attended were the Owner & Founder of Sri Sumahardani Academy and Personality Expert, Sri Sumahardani who presented material on Personal Branding and Communication Skills.

Head Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Diana Dewi, also attended the event with material on Sharing Experience and Problem Solving for career women in the workplace and in the family as well as the Role of Family in Supporting Career Success.

Jakarta Regional Secretary's Economy and Financial Assistant, Sri Haryati, appreciated the seminary since it is in line with the spirit of increasing the role of women in realizing prosperity.

"There are important positions occupied by women in the Jakarta Provincial Government environment. This shows that the Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to realize gender equality and the role of women to contribute in various fields of government," Sri said.

Sri added the Jakarta Provincial Government continues to strive to provide space for women to improve their capacity and knowledge in order to support the achievement of competent and competitive women, both in the work environment and family. Sri assessed that the role of women has contributed significantly in running the government in Jakarta.

"The presence of women in strategic positions has influenced policies to create a Jakarta that is fairer and more beneficial to society." she added.

Sri continued, participants will learn personality material related to personal branding and communication skills through this seminar. In addition, participants will also gain knowledge from the experiences of resource persons related to career development in the workplace and the challenges of women's roles in raising a family, so that a balance will be obtained between career development and family development.

"I hope that participants can follow this activity well, so that they can get optimal benefits and be successful in building a career at work and in building a family," she continued.

Jakarta BPSDM Head, Maria Qibtya, said this seminar is held to build women's personal branding by exploring their potential and improving communication skills and self-confidence in carrying out their roles in the family and career sphere.
