The Central Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency (Tamhut), planted six Mahogany trees on Jalan Bungur Besar Raya, RW 01, Gunung Sahari Selatan Urban Village, Kemayoran.

Central Jakarta Tamhut Sub-agency Head, Mila Ananda said the tree planting was by the program of the Jakarta Forestry Agency and Central Jakarta Mayor. This routine plantation was conducted every weekend.
"Today, on Jalan Bungur Besar Raya, we planted six Mahogany trees. Apart from here, we have also planted in other locations," she said, Friday (8/23).
Every weekend, her party was targeted to plant 25 trees. It was recorded that 355 trees had been planted in various locations in Central Jakarta from January to August 2024. It was an effort to address climate change due to global warming.
"There is very little empty land in Central Jakarta. hence, I'm asking for help from the urban village and sub-district heads so that they can plant on private land," he explained.
Kemayoran Sub-district Head, Asep Mulyaman added his party had planned to plant trees on private land. He cited, the planting would be conducted in the apartment and flat areas in Kebon Kosong Urban Village.
"Currently, the urban village office is recording seven apartments and four flats that are suitable for planting," he stated.
