The Food and Drug Monitoring Center (BBPOM) in Jakarta held Community Empowerment through Communication, Information, and Education on Drugs and Food in the hall of Seribu Islands Regency Office, Pramuka Island, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands.

Jakarta BBPOM Head, Sofiani Chandrawati Anwar said the socialization with the theme "Together We Prevent Stunting with Safe and Nutritious Food" aimed to increase public awareness and knowledge about quality drug and food products that meet safety, benefit, and quality requirements.
"We must empower the community concerning ensuring and supervising the medicines and food circulating in the community," she expressed, Tuesday (8/26).

Second, Business Actors who must continue to commit when their products are registered until they are distributed must be guaranteed safe and quality.
Third, the community must be smart consumers in buying quality medicines and food.
"100 participants from Pramuka and Panggang islands in this socialization. Most of them are entrepreneurs, public figures, and housewives," she explained.
His party would also supervise product distribution and production facilities for business actors, including holding a mobile laboratory test belonging to BBPOM for sampling and testing of drugs and food circulating in Seribu Islands.
"Supervision keeps being intensified in Seribu Islands. Hope it can provide benefits to the community and guarantee that we are always present in the community," he explained.
Seribu Islands Health Sub-agency Head, Murniasi Hutapea added this joint activity with Jakarta BBPOM is an annual routine agenda.
"We want to invite the public to be active in monitoring the drugs and food circulating in their environment," she explained.
After participating in the socialization, she hoped, participants could disseminate the information to their families, relatives, and neighbors. One of the characteristics of supervision that can be detected early is the color of the food, so be a smart society in choosing safe and quality medicines and food.
"We also keep supervising the home industry in Seribu Islands. So far, the production of business actors here is monitored as safe, quality, nutritious, and healthy," she uttered.
