50 South Jakarta Residents Participate Handicraft Training

South Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Sub-agency held Independent Workforce Training (TKM) in the field of handicrafts at RPTRA Taman Gajah, Cipete Selatan Urban Village, Cilandak Sub-district. The training was participated by 50 people.

Fitri thanked the sub-agency for providing the five-day training and giving the participants a sewing machine.
Another participant, Miasih (43), resident of Mampang Prapatan, stated the training provided is very useful for improving skills that can help the family economy.
"I will open a sewing business or make souvenirs such as miniatures with typical Jakarta characteristics," she stated.
Meanwhile, South Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Sub-agency's Training, Positioning, Productivity, and Transmigration Section Head, Erning Kumaladewi, explained participants came from 10 sub-districts in South Jakarta.
Participants were given education and training from four competent instructors on August 26-30, 2024.
"The training participants were asked to make pillows, clothes, Ondel-ondel miniatures, bags, and others. Hopefully the training and sewing machines that we share for free will be beneficial," she hoped.
