Pulogadung Industry Area Expected to Attract Investors

PT JIEP has been transformed or totally changed in constructing industrial area in the city

To support industry activities in Pulogadung Industry Area, Cakung, East Jakarta, the PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP) build the e-Gate JIEP or automatic portal system. It aims to  attract investor for investing in the city. 

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat stated the e-Gate project is very good, as it can attract foreign investor and run economic wheel in the city. Therefore it is expected the economic wheel could be growing rapidly.

"PT JIEP has been transformed or totally changed in constructing industrial area in the city. Obviously, it is expected could attract foreign inverstors especially in Asia," said Djarot when he did the groundbreaking of e-Gate project in Pulogadung Industry Area, East Jakarta, Wednesday (5/6). 

According to him, the KIP e-Gate become a model for BUMN/BUMD in changing. If this KIP is safe, convenient, available infrastructure is good, the environment is condusive and waste managed well then all investors would feel safe and convenient. Hence, the KIP should be arranged well. 

Meanwhile, CEO of PT JIEP, Rahmadi Nugroho claimed KIP is limited area and it is actually prioritized for investors, tenants and interested parties. Gradually, KIP which is standing on a 500 hectare land needs to be sterilized from uninterested parties. It is like illegal parking, street vendors, etc. 

"The automatic portal project is for giving the convenience and safety for investors. Previously, the KIP only had 3 main doors, but now we already have 16 doors," said Nugroho. 

He mentioned, from 16 exit doors, the e-Gate will be built in 10-11 doors. It is purposed to monitor and control out and in access of vehicles in KIP. Because, KIP has strategic role for pushing the growing of national economic, and also as national vital object.
