Jakarta Successfully Wins Two Golds in Roller Skating

Jakarta once again showed its dominance at the PON XXI Aceh - North Sumatra 2024 by winning a total of seven medals in the roller skating sport.

Jakarta's ranking has climbed in the medal standings for the PON XXI Aceh - North Sumatra 2024

The Jakarta contingent managed to bring home two gold medals, three silver, and two bronze, while also confirming Jakarta as one of the main forces in this sport.

Two gold medals were contributed by Nabilla Rahman in the Women's 500 Meter + D Sprint and Naura Rahmadija Hartanti in the Women's 200 Meter Individual Time Trial. Naura Rahmadija Hartanti also added a bronze medal for Jakarta in the Women's 500 Meter + D Sprint, making her one of the most accomplished athletes in this competition.

Then silver was grabbed by Farah Amalia Salsabila Putri in the Women's 200 Meter Individual Time Trial, Jurnalis Nurhakim Baharizki in the Men's 200 Meter Individual Time Trial, Barijani Mahesa Putra in the Men's 500 Meter + D Sprint, and Ivano Grevis Putro Utomo won bronze in the Men's 200 Meter Individual Time Trial.

Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency Head, Andri Yansyah said this achievement is a proud achievement for the Jakarta contingent, who managed to maintain their impressive performance in the roller skating event.

"With this result, Jakarta's ranking has climbed in the medal standings for the PON XXI Aceh - North Sumatra 2024 and is also a motivation for other athletes to continue to give their best," he uttered.

He hoped that this brilliant achievement would be a source of encouragement for the Jakarta roller skating team to continue fighting and win more medals in the future.

"This achievement can spur the spirit and inspire Jakarta athletes from other sports who are competing in PON XXI Aceh - Sumut 2024. In addition to pursuing their dreams in the world of sports, it also realizes the target of becoming the Overall Champion in PON this year," he stated.
