Eko Arif Setiawan brought gold medal in the INA Radio Control Pole Race (F3R INA), while his partner Ivan Wahyudi secured silver medal in the Radio Control Pole Race (F3R). The competition was held at Maimun Shaleh Air Force Base, Sabang.
Eko admitted that the PON competition is not easy since there are the best athletes from each province.

Eko said that weather condition in Sabang was challenging. In fact, all teams faced the same situation. Jakarta aeromodelling team focuses to add more medals at PON XXI.
"Preparation of physical, mental, equipment, and readiness play their role for the result," he said.
Jakarta aeromodelling team manager, Hikra Ahada, stated this victory is an encouragement for the team to perform better in the next numbers.
"It becomes our trigger to win gold in the matches. The fight for medal standing is getting tighter," he stated.
Jakarta aeromodelling team still has three matches left. Hikra is optimistic that his team is able to achieve three gold medals target.
"We try to optimize our equipment and engine. But we are optimistic to get gold medal for Jakarta," he explained.
