Beating East Java, Jakarta Women's Table Tennis Team Presents Gold

Jakarta women's table tennis team won a gold medal at PON XXI Aceh - North Sumatra 2024. It was confirmed after in the final match which held at the Angsapura Sports Hall (GOR), Medan, North Sumatra on Thursday (9/12) afternoon, the Jakarta team managed to defeat East Java with a landslide score of 3-0.

Jakarta Table Tennis Team Assistant Coach, Anang Satriyono was grateful for the gold medal won by the women's team. Four members of the Jakarta women's team were Rina Sinthia, Desi Ramandandi, Mira Fitriah, and Anastasia.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), the women's table tennis team won a gold medal and the men's team won a bronze medal. This is a step forward towards the target of three gold medals set for the table tennis sport," he expressed.

He explained the Jakarta table tennis branch took part in seven match categories at PON XXI.

"There are five more numbers that will be competed and will be participated by male and female athletes, namely two doubles, two individual, and one mixed," he explained.

Previously, they managed to beat the West Java table tennis team with a score of 2-1 in the semifinal match which also took place on the same day.

"We're optimistic that the table tennis sport will get more gold medals. We ask for your prayers and support," he stated.
