Fire in Penjaringan Injures One

On Friday (8/5), around 11.25 AM, a fire burned a shop house which is used as a home industry, Jalan Titik Kenal, Villa Kapuk Mas Block A1, RT 08/05, Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, Friday (5/8). The incident wounded a man named Dede (28) in the face.

The material losses is estimated by Rp 20 million

Allegedly. the cause of the fire is electricity short-circuit from a dynamo maker machine located on the ground floor. Then fire quickly grew up and hit a plafond until destroying parts of the building.

One of workers, Karyadi (35) claimed he was panicked when the fire began to burn the building. "There is no explosion, but I immediately ran out after I saw the flames hit the ceiling," he expressed.

Fire Destroys 2 Buildings in Penjaringan

North Jakarta Fire and Rescue Management Sub-Department Head, Eddi Putranto stated the firemen and 14 fire trucks managed to control the situation around 12 PM.

"The material losses is estimated by Rp 20 million," he told.

Meanwhile, the wounded victim immediately rushed to Koja General Hospital (RSUD). "The wound is not too severe. He is currently still being treated in the hospital," he disclosed.
