KPK - Diskominfotik Holds Joint Commitment Signing

Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) held joint commitment signing with Jakarta Communication, Informatics and Statistic Agency (Diskominifotik), at National Library, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Thursday (9/26).

"Both ministries/institutions and local governments have an obligation to convey performance and result transparently and accountably to public," she said.

Yuyuk added public body must adapt to the culture and habits of community when accessing public information or literacy is experiencing very rapid development with several approaches, namely transparency and accuracy of the messages conveyed.

"As an effort to include the quantity and quality of positive narratives in eradicating corruption, KPK involves key stakeholders such as central and regional government public relations, influencers, media/journalists, CSOs and public relations practitioners in holding this program," she added.

Meanwhile, Acting Jakarta Diskominfotik Head, Sigit Wijatmoko, appreciated KPK for holding digital literacy seminary themed 'From Text to Trend: Weaving Public Narratives Through Digital Media'.

Sigit conveyed dynamic digital era and information circulation need literacy seminary like this.

"Digital media also a vehicle for forming public opinion, influencing perceptions and creating trends aside from a tool for conveying information," Sigit stated.

Sigit hopes the seminary participants will gain new insights and additional skills in building effective narratives and creativity in digital era.
