Acting Jakarta Diskominfotik Head, Sigit Wijatmoko, said the award carries theme ' Jakarta Public Relations with Global Competitiveness'. The role of public relations has become very strategic in shaping Jakarta's image and reputation as a global city in the rapid globalization and digitalization era.
"We want to emphasize the importance of creativity and innovation in every product and communication action produced by public relations personnel on Jakarta Provincial Government," he said.

"This activity is to provide awards for public relations performance to Regional Apparatus, Regional-Owned Enterprises, and employees within the Jakarta Provincial Government. The Jakarta Public Relations Award also aims to foster a positive competitive spirit in the field of public relations, provide space and opportunities for improving the quality and creativity of public relations work, and strengthen the role of public relations within the Regional Apparatus, Regional Apparatus Work Units, and Regional-Owned Enterprises of Jakarta Province," he added, as quoted from Jakarta Provincial Government's press release.
Sigit assessed that in the current digital and globalization era, the role of public relations is increasingly crucial. Key to building trust and reputation is taken from the ability to communicate effectively and create a positive image.
"Public relation, in the context of Jakarta as a city that continues to develop, has a task that is not only to convey information, but also to build a narrative that highlights Jakarta's potential and achievements on the international stage," he continued.
