Seribu Island Administration together with Jakarta Regional Disaster Handling Agency (BPBD) held socialization, education, and simulation of earthquake and fire handling.

Seribu Island Deputy Regent, Muhammad Fadjar Churniawan said this activity is a form of government commitment to provide knowledge and information about handling earthquake and fire emergencies to all employees in the Seribu Islands Administration.

Fadjar added tsunami and whirlwind natural disasters become Seribu Island's challenge.
"We already have a tsunami and earthquake early warning system that functions as an early warning to the public about the potential for a tsunami after an earthquake," he added.
According to him, understanding the fire safety management aside of earthquake management is also important to learn. It also includes the learning of fire prevention procedures, providing sign to disaster safety equipment.
Meanwhile, Jakarta BPBD's Emergency and Refugee Handling Sub-group Head, Wardaya, admitted the activity was participated by 90 people of civil servants and PJLPs.
"They received theory and direct implementation," he admitted.
His side also cooperated with Jakarta Fire handling and Rescue Agency, and Basarnas for providing the simulation.
