The decision is taken after the SDN Cempaka Baru 01 building was burnt on Sunday (10/6).

Central Jakarta Education Area 2 Sub-agency Head, Bambang Eko Prabowo, said his side also gives option to hold learning activity at another school. But it is still being discussed.

SDN Cempaka Baru 01 Headmaster, Maslahati, explained the fire incident only occurred in the school book storage area on the ground floor of the building. Although it did not spread to other rooms, the impact of the fire required cleaning.

According to her, the cleaning process is still running until undetermined time.

"We're still looking for another school building as alternative," she stated.

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency Head, Asril Rizal, stated his side deployed 14 firetrucks with 41 personnel to extinguish the building.

"The fire occurred at 11:40 AM and fully extinguished at 1:02 PM," he stated.

He added that the fire incident did not result in fatalities or serious injuries. The fire burned down one of the school rooms measuring about 130 square meters on the ground floor.

"Temporary allegedly it is caused by electrical short circuit," he admitted.
