Education Agency's Teaching Factory Program Launched at Three SMKs

Eli continued, the Tefa program is also a real form of improvement efforts made by the ranks of the Jakarta Provincial Government towards schools in the fields of curriculum, programs and other sectors. This achievement is also the result of collaboration between the Regional Government, Central Government and business circles.
She hopes that the products produced can continue to be developed through various innovations. Therefore, she asked the Education Agency to register the products produced by students to the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights.
"Their products must be branded and recognized as intellectual property rights. We hope that our children will grow into a strong generation and always collaborate with various parties," she added.
Acting Jakarta Education Agency Head, Purwosusilo, explained there are total 559 SMKs in Jakarta; 73 state schools and 486 private schools. About 110 of them have held industry class cooperated with 281 industries.
"The program is launched today at three schools," he explained.
Purwo added that there are a number of requirements that must be met before launching Tefa in a school. Starting from improving the competence of teachers and students by participating in training by industry partners to the existence of trained human resources who provide assistance as production supervision.
The three schools that launched Tefa, namely, the assembly of interactive flat panels and video walls at SMK Negeri 26 and Tefa assembling Videotrons at SMK Strada in partnership with PT Microvision Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Tefa at SMK Negeri 1 assembles laptops and computers with industrial partner PT Multicom Persada International.
"We will gradually implement it in other schools that have collaborated to open industrial classes to become Tefa," he stated.
