The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) has prepared 1,000 personnel for a series of events for the inauguration of the President and Vice President for 2024-2029 period on Sunday (10/20).

He explained those personnel would be tasked with managing traffic engineering and monitoring vehicles that violate or are parked carelessly, which could potentially disrupt the smooth running of the event.
"They will be on standby at designated routes such as Jalan Majapahit, Jalan Abdul Muis, Tugu Tani, Jalan Kebon Sirih, as well as roads around Sudirman and Thamrin, which must be free from vehicles," he explained.
He added the traffic diversion will start at 8 AM. Private vehicles are prohibited from passing through the designated area, except for VVIP vehicles, such as President and state guests. There will be 13 entertainment stages along Sudirman to Monas to enliven the event.
"Transjakarta will also continue operating until 10 AM, but will be diverted situationally if the area starts to become crowded with celebration activities," he added.
His party also prepared 20 towing units at several points that were considered crucial and had to be sterile from vehicles. For instance, in the Jalan Imam Bonjol area leading to the MMC Hospital, as well as other vital areas.
Dishub also prepared three Variable Mobile Sign (VMS) units that will be placed in several strategic locations, namely in Hayam Wuruk, Panglima Polim, and Gatot Subroto areas. It was aimed at providing information to road users about traffic diversion.
He added there would also be 26 parking pockets to anticipate the surge in the number of vehicles. However, he urged the public to use public transportation for the sake of smoothness and comfort together.
"We have prepared 26 parking pockets consisting of 21 off-street parking points and five on-street parking locations, with a capacity to accommodate 17,500 motorbikes, 21,300 cars, and 182 buses," he closed.
